English Premier League picks - 01.12

Hi guys,
Once again my rather bad streak recently continued on Wednesday. Everyone expected West Brom to fail at some point, but the way they were beaten against Swansea was kinda surprising. Also, I obviously underestimated Benitez as he managed to transform Chelsea for a very short time and now they seem very dull, but steady at the back. Still, the Saints and Norwich drew their game, which returned some money back. Bad day in general, but now the weekend is coming and there is a good chance to win some cash. Here are my tips for the forthcoming Premier League games:

Pick 72
Event: Liverpool - Southampton
Pick: Southampton +1.25 AH
Odds: 1.98 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Despite the fact there is some progress in Liverpool, the Reds still have lots of problems and generally are not playing too well. They've managed to win by more than one goal just twice since the start of the season and they have a number of draws and narrows wins at home for a third consecutive season. On the other hand, the visitors are in a good shape currently and haven't lost 4 games in a roll in the league. I think they might get a point here, but even if they don't I feel they won't get beaten too convincingly and this line could return half win.

Pick 73
Event: Manchester City - Everton
Pick: Manchester City -1AH
Odds: 1.91 @ 188bet
Stake: 8/10
Analysis: I think the key for this bet is squad depth. This is a third game for both teams inside a week, so there will be some tired legs and the team with more freshness will have a big advantage. I don't think there is any doubt who that is and the strong home form and much longer bench City are the clear favorite here. As for Everton - they look very tired in the last 20 minutes against Arsenal on Wednesday and for this game they surely miss skipper Neville, while the likes of Baynes, Miralas and Coleman are carrying a knocks and are not 100% sure for the game. This makes me think the value is on City, especially considering the fact they started keeping clean sheets recently and their defense starts to look as solid as last year.

This is it for now, but I might add another bet for Saturday later today or tomorrow and I will probably have some Sunday picks too, so stay tuned. Good luck!

More Premier League picks

Hi guys,
The odds for my yesterday's pick on Sunderland was going up and down a little bit and currently is at 2.34 at Pinnacle, so you could even get bigger price than me, if you haven't bet yet. Today I have few more suggestions for the forthcoming games:

Pick 69 (good number :))
Event: Swansea - West Brom
Pick: West Brom +0.5 AH
Odds: 1.74 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: Well, there is not much to say about this game - West Brom are flying right now, they are solid at the back, they are very good in attack, they are disciplined, but also play with a lot of passion. In addition to that the manager actually substituted some of his players at the end of the game against Sunderland in order to keep them fresh. On the other hand, Swansea are in a terrible shape and seem unable to get more than a draw against solid teams, even at home. West Brom had some problems away at the start of the season, but now have two wins in a row, so I think the value is on them.

Pick 70
Event: Southampton - Norwich
Pick: Draw
Odds: 3.69 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 4/10
Analysis: This is a clash between two teams that started the season on a low, but are now in a great shape. The Saints now have two wins in their last games, while Norwich are unbeaten for quite some time. I think the disciplined team of the visitors will manage to take something from this game, but I don't expect them to manage to win. On the other hand, Southampton is playing well, so the draw here is a pretty logical choice at such high odds. Low to mid stakes though, since betting on a draw is always a risky choice.

Pick 71
Event: Chelsea - Fulham
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.04 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Both teams are very generous in terms of conceding and scoring goals despite the fact their games this weekend finished 0:0 and 1:0. This was due to the tough opponents and the terrible weather. Although it is expected to rain again, I really think those two have the potential to have a goal fest on Tuesday. Biggest concern is the possible Benitez effect, but it is still too early about that.

This is it, the previews are shorter today, but I really didn't have the time to be more detailed, good luck everyone :)

Weekend recap and Premier League picks

Hello guys,
I am sorry that I didn't post my Sunday picks, but unfortunately I had a lot of stuff to do and just didn't have the time to do it. Generally, the Saturday's pre match picks lost me some money, but with Man United managing another comeback, I actually won some with my live bets. As always, since there is no way to add them here in time, I won't tell you more about it.
The good thing is that with all other competitions in Europe in a winter break, there will be English football only in the forthcoming months, starting with some games this Tuesday and Wednesday and I already have one pick prepared:

Pick 68
Event: Sunderland - QPR
Pick: Sunderland -0.5 AH
Odds: 2.25 @ Pinnacle
Stake:  5/10
Analysis: Well, Harry Rednkap is known for his immediate effect on the new teams he is appointed at and also, a change of the manager normally gives a boost to a team. Obviously, this is the reason why the weakest team in the Premier League so far is considered a favorite to take something from this game. However, I am at the opposite opinion and I think the odds for Sunderland are too generous here. I watched the QPR game at Old Trafford and I believe the only reason the visitors looked ok in a good chunk of the match is the very weak game of Man United. The hosts weren't pressing enough, they made a number of mistakes in the middle and QPR had like the 7-8 good spots, when they could have made decent attacks. The visitors managed to score just in one of them and afterwards United upped the tempo and could've scored 5, if they needed. This makes me think Harry has a very tough job to do and the odds of 2.25 for a home win contain value, despite the bad shape of the hosts. Medium stakes though, since the first goal is really vital here and if QPR gets it, it might be over.

I thought about putting a normal Rednkapp picture, but couldn't help it, when I saw this, big lol :)

This is it for now, I will post some more picks soon, good luck everyone :)

More betting tips for the Premier League

Hi guys,
As I told you yesterday, I will put some more tips for the Premier league today. For now I will just add one pick for today and later I will write about Sunday's games:

Pick 67
Event: Stoke - Fulham
Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 2.15 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 8/10
Analysis: The two teams that meet are very different in terms of average goals in their games. Most of Stoke's games are under and they are keeping it tight at the back and don't score too much. Fulham are completely different and under Martin Jol they are all out attacking which leads to many goals for and against them. The reason I think there is value on the over 2.5 here is simple - I think the visitors will be able to score at least once with the firepower they possess, but the suspension of Hangeland means they will have a lot of trouble dealing with set pieces, which is the main weapon of the hosts.

Good luck everyone :)

English Premier League picks

Hi guys,
Unfortunately, my hot streak of wins ended last night in Europa League, when two of my bets were lost and just one won. My main bet was on Academica and Pilzen to score over 2.5 goals, but both teams managed to score just two both from penalties, while the huge surprise was the goalless draw between Hannover and Twente. That was pretty sick especially considering the fact there were like 4 goals on average in all games of the Germans so far, but this is football. The only good news was the under at the Newcastle - Maritimo game which brought some money back, but overall last night sucked.
No time for regrets though as the weekend is coming and there are some decent bets for the Premier League. I already have few suggestions, here they are:

Pick 65
Event: Everton - Norwich
Pick: Norwich +1 AH
Odds: 2.11 @ 188bet
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: This line would've won or pushed in any of the last 6 Everton games, as the team drew four of them, won one with one goal difference and then lost against Reading. This indicates that the great shape of the hosts from the start of the season is starting to fade. Norwich on the other hand is unbeaten in five games in a row, including wins against Manchester United and Arsenal. This wouldn't have been enough for me to bet in normal circumstances, but when you look at the team news you will see Everton will miss Fellainy, Neville and Mirallas and all three are very important for the hosts. As crazy as it may sound I believe Norwich could actually win this game, but I will go for the safe option and go for the Asian Handicap.

Everton's best player Fellainy is out of this match.

Pick 66
Event: Wigan - Reading
Pick: Reading +0.5 AH
Odds: 2.06 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 7/10
Analysis: A derby game between two teams who are just above the relegation zone. Both started the season poorly, but are showing some signs of improvements lately. Reading are the kings of draws as they managed four in six of their last games, but last week they finally managed to win against the strong Everton team. Wigan on the other hand are very inconsistent and are capable of big surprises both in a negative and positive sense. I would say the hosts are a slight favorite to win this match, but the value is on Reading to take something here.

This is it for now, I believe I could place another bet on the Saturday's matches and there surely will be something for Sunday and the F1 finale, so stay tuned. Good luck everyone :)

Another bet for Europa League

Hi guys,
I was checking some odds and stuff and I noticed a pick, that seems great value to me, but I somehow missed it in the morning. Let's make up for this mistake and here it is:

Pick 64
Event: Academica Coimbra - Viktoria Pilzen
Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 2.20 @ 188bet
Analysis: I honestly can't understand the odds here - Academica will have to go gung ho in this game, cause everything but a win and they are out of the competition. If they do win though, they will pretty much have a chance to go through, since Viktoria will have to play Atletico Madrid in their last game. This means the hosts attack from the first minute and they are more than capable of scoring, especially at home. On the other hand, the only time Viktoria didn't score a goal in this group was against Atletico Madrid away which is quite understandable. I feel there will be some goals here and if you don't want to risk too much, I recommend you the safer option of over 2 at 1.65, which is also great value and returns your money in case the teams score just two goals.

Good luck everyone :)

Europa League betting tips, 22.10

Hello guys,
It is time for some Europa League betting tips for today, but before that I would like to make a short recap for Wednesday. It was a good day with both of my bets on Malaga and Arsenal winning, but I was somewhat disappointed, since I was strongly considering bets on Dortmund and Milan, but skipped them at the end. However, there was still a solid profit from the bets I actually made, so it was all good.
I looked deeply in today's games and I am struggling to find value in most of them due to various reasons, but still I think there are some good picks out there:

Pick 62
Event: Newcastle - Maritimo
Pick: Under 2.5 goals
Odds: 2.02 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: The two teams are on the opposite sides of the group standings with Newcastle leading and Maritimo at the bottom. Today the Geordies can secure qualification if they win the game, while the Portuguese side will go down in such a case. I think the hosts will win this one, but I don't like the odds, so instead I will try to go for unders cause of various reasons. First of all, Newcastle managed a clean sheet in both of their home games in Europe so far and that makes me think they will be able to do it again today. Also, Maritimo didn't manage to score in their first two away games and both of them finished unders (1:0 and 2:0). In addition to these stats Newcastle will be missing some players like Cabaye and Gutierez and that should harm their attacking potential.

Cabaye is out for the game.

Pick 63
Event: Hannover - Twente
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.04 @ 188bet (can be found at 2.10 at some bookie called "The Greek", but I don't know it and don't use it)
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: This bet is based purely on the performance of the both teams so far, especially Hannover. They are just scoring for fun and conceding a lot too. In fact, they only have overs so far in the group, while Twente have just one under, so I think another goal fest might be on the line here.

This is it for today, good luck everyone :)

Decent Tuesday and more Champions League

Hello guys,
Yesterday was a rather good day with two bets won and one lost. The main bet of the evening was on Shakhtar -1.25 and despite some early troubles, the Ukrainians won comfortably at the end for a good profit. Galata also did the job and beat Man United, but Benfica and Celtic ruined the perfect day. The hosts had a number of chances throughout the game, but only managed to win 2:1, however I am happy with my bet and I feel there was value, but luck wasn't on our side this time.
Today the Champions league continues and it is time for some more picks:

Pick 60
Event: Zenit - Malaga
Pick: Malaga +0.5 AH
Odds: 2.21 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: Malaga have already qualified for the next stage of the tournament, but Pellegrini insists he won't take this game lightly, especially considering the fact a point here will be enough to secure the first place in the group. The Spanish side has some absentees for this game, but still come with a very decent squad. The Russians are also expected to field a strong squad, but there are some doubtful players with a knocks like Hulk, Bystrov and others. To be honest, I feel Malaga is obviously the better team here despite the circumstances and I feel they can get something from this game, the stats are also on their side - they lost just one away game in UEFA competitions, so I don't think they will lose again here.

Pick 61
Event: Arsenal - Montpellier
Pick: Arsenal -1.25 AH
Odds: 1.91 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: The visitors are already out of the competition, while the other three teams in the group will be fighting for their place in the knockout stages. Arsenal will surely need a win here and considering how important the tournament for Arsene Wenger is, I expect full commitment from the gunners. They are rather strong at home and their confidence should be once again high after demolishing local rival Tottenham last weekend. In terms of team news there are both good and bad news for the London side - Walcott is out of this match with a shoulder injury, but left back Gibbs is back, as well as Gervinho. I really think the return of Gibbs will make a huge impact on this game, because since his injury  the left flank isn't working well and Podolski is struggling. As for the visitors their main goal will be to keep their pride and their slim chances to play in Europa League. They will surely miss Belhanda because of suspension and got some players who are doubtful for the game. To be honest, I can't see anything but an Arsenal win here and I think it will be with more than a goal.

I have some thoughts about the other games too, but I can't seem to find a good bet for now, once again, I will probably go for some live bets. Good luck everyone :)

Benfica - Celtic pick

Hello again guys,

I am looking at the games and to be honest, I have some reservations for most of them, so I will probably watch them and try to find some good value in live betting, but still I think there is another good option for today:

Pick 59
Event: Benfica - Celtic
Pick: Benfica -1.5 AH
Odds: 2.43 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: Benfica will be desperate here as anything but a win means game over for the Portugal side. They are in a very good run of five wins and they are solid especially at home. They don't have many absent players and with the home crowd behind their backs, they will be pushing from the first minute of the game. Celtic on the other hand are the huge surprise in the group and after the win against Barca they are the favorites to qualify and they even can do it tonight. I expect them to sit tight and defend in this match, but I feel the Portuguese side will be able to break them more than once.

This is it with my prematch games for the day, good luck everyone.

Champions league picks

Hi guys,
Yesterday was a bad day, since West Ham didn't manage to beat Stoke and my bet on the game was lost. The Hammers went a goal down and despite an early equalizer in the start of the second half and some pressure afterwards, they didn't manage to create enough clear cut chances.
Today we have the Champions league and I already have a bet there - Shakhtar -1.25 AH, but I think there is another good pick for today, so here we go:

Pick 58
Event: Galatasaray - Manchester United
Pick: Galata -0.5 AH
Odds: 2.05 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: This bet is based purely on motivation and team news - United already secured their first place in the group and they arrive in Turkey without many of their best players like van Persie, Rooney, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia and others. On the other hand the hosts really need this win, they have almost their full squad and they actually didn't put too much effort on the weekend which lead to a home loss in the local competition. This makes me think Galata can take the very much needed win here against a weakened Man United side.

This is it for now, but stay tuned, since I am researching all of today's matches and I will probably post another pick later today.

West Ham - Stoke and Sunday recap

Hi guys,
Yesterday wasn't the best day in terms of betting with one bet won and one lost, but the end result is a very tiny profit, so it was not that bad. The under at Fulham - Sunderland was looking good up to the beginning of the second half, when there were 3 goals scored in fifteen minutes and the the visitors added another one for a full loss. However, my expectations for a very slim winning margin in F1 were right and the end result for the day was positive.
Today is the last game in the Premier League and I think there is a bet I am willing to take:

Pick 57
Event: West Ham - Stoke
Pick: West Ham -0.5 AH
Odds: 2.08 @ Bet365
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: This is a clash between two very similar sides - strong at home and rather weak away, depending on long balls and embracing the physical aspect of the game. However, since the start of the season the Hammers are doing much better and they are lying 7th in the table, while Stoke seem to draw too many games which leaves them very close to the bottom. Besides the home advantage and the better shape since the start of the season, another important reason for this bet are the team news. The hosts will only miss the long term injured Vaz Te, while Stoke have a number of injured players, especially in midfield. Whitehead, Pennant and Delap continue to be sidelined, while Walters, Adam and Whelan are with minor injuries. They should be able to play though, but the lack of options and the fact the existing ones are not fully fit may cost the away side here. I like the odds for a home win and I think the Hammers will be able to win this game, not too convincingly though.

I am sure Pulis is worried about the injury list for this game.

So, this is it for today, guys, good luck everyone and expect some Champions League bets in the forthcoming days :)

Fulham - Sunderland and a F1 bet

Hi guys,
Yesterday was truly a great day for me as a gunner and as a punter :) Arsenal won the North London derby with 5:2 once again, which meant my over 3 goals bet was won and despite missing some chances Walcott managed to score right at the end for a tasty win at good odds. Elsewhere, Reading and Everton didn't manage to score more than three goals, but the scoreline of 2:1 was enough to push to push the over 3 and return my money. The Saints however did not disappoint me and despite the predictions of all kinds of specialist and punters that QPR will win this match, Southampton confirmed my thoughts that the value is on them by winning 3:1 for a very good win at odds of 2.97 :)  Great day indeed, but now it is time to think about today. I have some suggestions that might interest you:

Pick 55
Event: Fulham - Sunderland
Pick: Under 2.75 goals
Odds: 1.88 @  Pinnacle
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Once again I am going against the opinion of most specialists and tipsters here. There were the astonishing 16 goals in the last three Fulham games in the league and the London side has the second best attack, which should point towards another high scoring game here. However, I feel this will not be the case as their opponents today are a team, that tries to keep it tight and doesn't score much themselves. This applies especially to their away games, so I believe the value is on unders and I am taking the under 2.75, since it offers some kind of insurance.

Pick 56
Event: Formula 1 USA Grand Prix
Pick: Winning margin: 0-5.999 sec
Odds: 2.30 @ Bwin
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: With two races to go, 10 points ahead and starting from pole Vettel looks a massive favorite for the title. Since most of his wins are from pole and with his car looking very well, he should be able to win this race, but the odds for this are too low and I suspect there is a certain space for a surprise from Hamilton. This is the reason why I will try another option here - the win to be with a slim margin of under 6 seconds. The main reason is that I think Vettel will win it, but at the end of the race he will try to eliminate event the slimmest chance of technical problem and even if he is 7,8 or 10 second ahead, he will drive safely in the final laps. Medium stakes bet.

If anyone can stop Vettel here, Ham is the man.

Good luck everyone :)

More Premier League picks for the weekend

Hi guys,

With some more team news available today I will add some more picks for the Premier League. Here we go:

Pick 53
Event: Arsenal - Tottenham
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.04 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 7/10
Analysis: Normally, the North London derby is full of goals, you just have to take a look at results in recent years and you will find stuff like 5:2, 3:2, 3:3, 4:4 etc. Considering the condition of the two sides, I believe a high scoring game is again quite possible. Arsenal are finding their shape upfront, but they started conceding a lot recently, while Tottenham also seem unable to keep a clean sheet. This makes me think this could be the next classic game between the two rivals and I really like the odds for overs here.

Pick 54
Event: QPR - Southampton
Pick: Southampton +0 AH
Odds: 2.97 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: The bottom two teams face each other in a match, that is absolutely crucial. The visitors are basically with their best squad here and QPR have some long term absentees and captain Park is doubtful about the game. I expect a really tough battle, but to be honest, I like the Saints more from both teams and I feel they are the better side here despite their obvious leaks. They seem unable to score enough despite the many chances created and are not solid enough in defense, but still they have shown some great stuff throughout the season and if they manage to find some consistency in the game, they could snatch the victory. On the other hand, QPR is full with many decent players, but seem to struggle in all areas of the pitch - they concede too many goals, the midfield finds it hard to keep the ball when needed and create enough chances and the forwards don't score enough. Of course, this is a big chance for them to make it right at home against the Saints, but this works vice versa and I am sure that the visitors will be very motivated too. That is why I am taking the DNB option for the Saints and I feel they could do the job here.

I feel Hughes will stay really worried after this match.

This is it for now, I will write some picks probably and there is F1 this weekend, so stay tuned. Good luck everyone :)

English Premier league picks for the weekend

Hello guys,
With the international friendlies gone it is time to concentrate on this weekend's Premier League matches. After last week wasn't too good for me, it is time to compensate and make some money. So here are the first bets:

Pick 51
Event: Arsenal - Tottenham
Pick: Theo Walcott to score anytime
Odds: 3.40 @ Skybet
Stake: 3/10
Analysis: Well,  the North London derby is coming and as Arsenal supporter I sincerely hope to see the Gunners win. It won't be easy though and one of the players that could be instrumental in this game is Theo. He is in great shape, scored and assisted a bunch of goals since the start of the season even without playing as a starter regularly. Last time around he scored two goals against Tottenham and with the first choice left back Assou-Ekotto out of this game, I think the odds for Walcott to score are very good. I will take the 3.40 gladly with a small bet.

I hope to see Theo scoring and the Emirates rocking again.

Pick 52
Event: Reading - Everton
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.27 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 8/10
Analysis: After thinking about Everton recently, I reached an interesting conclusion. It seems to me the teams are now fearing them because of the great shape since the start of the season and they go out parking the bus at Goodison. This leads to less chances and less goals for the Toffees compared to their games away, where teams feel obliged to play more open in front of their home crowd. This makes me think the high flying Everton side will be manage to create a lot of chances against the shaky Reading defense. On the other side, Reading recently showed they can score goals too and despite the 0:0 draw against Norwich last week, I feel this game will offer a lot of goals.

This is it for today, but I am having some more ideas, so expect more picks tomorrow, good luck everyone :)

Useful betting sites and tipsters

Hi guys,
Since I don't really like to bet on international games and especially friendlies, I decided it is best to skip today's matches. This means you could expect some more tips from me for the forthcoming weekend.
However, I decide to use this break and dedicate a post to something very important, that might be useful for you - some links for sites and tipsters that I use as information and tips sources. I think this is essential for anyone who likes sports betting, since information is the key for success. I rarely follow tips based on purely the opinion of someone else, I like to have some knowledge myself, but I often find other people's analysis helpful. This is why I will write a short review for some of my sources, I hope they can be as helpful to you as they have been for me:

GOONERSGUIDE.COM

This is a very useful site for betting tips on mostly English football. There are some very goods tipsters there and you can check their in depth analysis. I personally like to take a look there, just before I place my bets. Many times there were different angles I missed and some useful information I didn't get, which prevents me from taking some bets without value.
Also, there is  a specific punter there I often follow - ArmchairPunter. The guys is specialized in lower English leagues and he is really great, especially when it comes to the English Championship. His record is great and his in depth analysis will give you a very good idea about the games. I always check his opinion on games from the Championship I am willing to bet on.

MILOSNS

This is a link to the personal blogabet page of a Serbian tipster, who is especially good in South American football and European basketball. Unfortunately, his best tips are paid and you can't see them before the game, but occasionally he shows some tips for free. I would recommend you to follow his page, but concentrate on South American football and Euro basket which are his strengths. He really follows closely those and his information is accurate. Useful tipster with good knowledge.

BETTING PORTUGAL

Another guy on blogabet, who has specialized on specific market - this time Portugal. The guy has very good info and his tips for Portugal are great. Once again, he has a paid service which means most of his picks are private, but still sometimes he post some tips for free and it is worth checking his blog.

OLBG.COM

This is a different type of site - it is one of the biggest UK betting communities. To be honest, the reason I am putting it here is that it has a lot of free betting competitions and if your bank is small you could try to win some cash without betting. There are more than £5,000 in cash prizes and also half of that in free bets, so if you have a small bank it is worth a shot. There is a separate competition for number of sports, type of betting and leagues, so you could win some cash, if you have a good month. Also, there are many, many tipsters there, so with some research you could fins some useful information too.

ODDSPORTAL.COM
Another good site which has various types of useful info - from odds comparison to dropping/rising odds and also some good tipsters. I think it is a must for anyone, who wants to make money from betting, so don't miss the chance to check it out.

Well, this is it, if you too have some useful sites you want to share, you can do it in a comment to this post, I will be grateful for that.Good luck everyone :)

Bad weekend and an early Champions league pick

Hi guys,

After the great start of the blog it was inevitable to have a bad period at some point. Well, it happened this weekend, when most of my bets on the Premier League were lost. Yesterday Newcastle didn't manage to create enough chances despite their efforts and lost to West Ham at home and Chelsea missed few chances to close the game against Liverpool and were punished. Bad weekend, no doubt about it, but life goes on, so it is time to take advantage of some early odds which should fall until the games come, so I am willing to take them now:

Pick 50
Event: Nordsjaelland - Shakhtar
Pick: Shakhtar -1.25 AH
Odds: 1.78 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: This is the key game for the Ukrainian side - a win here and they are through to the knockout stages. Skahtar have shown some great stuff against both Chelsea and Juventus, while the Danish side is getting trashed almost every game. I don't see something different from a win for the visitors here and considering they are a force upfront, I think it is going to be very convincing. Full stake here before the odds drop.

This is it for today, I am not sure I will post much picks for the international friendlies, since it is hard to predict them. However, I will probably have a bet or two with small stakes. Good luck everyone :)

Premier league pick for Sunday

Hi guys,
Yesterday was a rather bad day and it was the first time I lost some cash betting on the Premier League. My Friday bets on Arsenal and Everton both lost, still the good thing was Stoke and West Brom managed to do the job, so the damage was not that big. I was also able to win a decent amount of cash with live bets on Man United - one for the to score the next goal when they were 2:0 down and one for the to win at 2:1, however, I am unable to post those in the blog, since it is hard to follow them. I have another bet for today though and it is once again for the English Premier league:

Pick 49
Event: Newcastle - West Ham
Pick: Newcastle -0.5 AH
Odds: 2.02 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: Newcastle are improving recently and the win against a solid side like West Brom and the draw at Anfield against Liverpool are signs of it. They are very decent at home, while West Ham are just terrible away - they have only three wins in their last 41 away games in the Premier League. I think the Newcastle's offensive players will be more than capable to create a number of chances, however the hosts are missing some key man in the defensive area like Coloccini and Tiote, so I won't risk too much here. Medium sized bet on this one, since there are some concerns about Newcastle's defense.

The skipper is suspended for this match.

I am also waiting for a Chelsea win today and the odds have dropped since my bet, so I think it was a good value. Good luck everyone :)

More Premier league football picks for Saturday

Hi guys,

Yesterday I had one bet only, but it was a successful one - Middlesbrough maintained their good run by beating Sheffield Wednesday at home. As you probably know, if you are a regular reader of this blog, I already have two bets for today's Premier League games: under 3 goals for Arsenal - Fulham and Everton -1.5 AH goals against Sunderland at home. I was considering few more bets yesterday, but I left my final decision for today. Here we go:

Pick 47
Event: Stoke City - QPR
Pick: Stoke -0.5AH
Odds: 2.05 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Both team are not performing very well since the start of the season, but Stoke look much more solid at least in defense. Their story is similar every year - they have some tough periods, but manage to take a good number of points at home against weaker teams. They still have just one win since the start of the league and I believe this is a good opportunity to take some fresh air here against QPR, who have just 4 points up to this point.

Pullis will want a home win against a weak QPR side today.

Pick 48
Event: Wigan - West Brom
Pick: West Brom +0AH
Odds:  2.55 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 4/10
Analysis: West Brom is performing very well since the start of the season, but they still haven't got a win away from home. However, all of their opponents in those game were better teams than Wigan, probably except Aston Villa which are about the same class. Wigan on the other hand have just one win at home and it came against a weak visitors like West Ham. This makes me think the visitors could achieve their first success away from home considering their decent defense and strong attack. I am taking the DNB option though, since the odds are still very good and this offers some insurance.

This is it from me, you could probably expect some more tips tomorrow, good luck everyone :)

Profitable Thursday and Premier League picks

Hi guys,

Yesterday was another good day, that brought me some profit. The late pick on Anzhi was won, although not too convincingly, while Lazio did the job against Panathinaikos. Elsewhere Atletico Madrid didn't manage to score, but still two bets won, one lost and some more cash in the bank. For today I have a pick on Middlesbrough, that I published and with the weekend knocking at the door, it is time to concentrate one the Premier League:

Pick 45
Event: Arsenal - Fulham
Pick: Under 3 goals
Odds: 1.93 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 8/10
Analysis: The bookies continue giving good odds for unders on Arsenal home games and I continue to struggle understanding the reason for this. Arsenal's main problem currently is the lack of ideas and fresh legs upfront and with the list with injured and suspended players they have, I don't think it will get any better. On the other hand, their defense may seem suspect on some occasions, but in the Premier League they have conceded just 9 goals, most of them against quality teams. In their home games against mid or low table opponents, they look good. I expect the same against Fulham - the visitors won't park the bus, but still they will try to defend mostly, so I can't see them putting too much pressure on the gunners. On the other side of the pitch I expect the hosts to struggle to create many chances, so my general opinion is it will be a tight game. The under 3 line offers some insurance and the odds seem very good to me, so I will give it a shot.

Santi is one of the many Arsenal players that look tired.

Pick 46
Event: Everton - Sunderland
Pick: Everton -1 EH
Odds: 2.50 @ Ladbrokes
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Everton are probably playing the most exciting football in the Premier League. They are extremely dangerous upfront and are creating a lot of chances. Against Fulham last week they probably had like 10 clear cut chances and only the lack of luck and a number of misses prevented them from winning the game. At home against a poor Sunderland team I am more than confident they will again create a lot of opportunities, let's hope they don't miss so much this time.

This is it for now, tomorrow I will probably post some more pick, good luck to everyone :)

Final Europa League bet

Hello again guys,

The movement in the odds for the Anzhi game just made pick another bet for tonight:

Pick 44
Event: Anzhi - Liverpool
Pick: Anzhi -0.5 AH
Odds: 1.943 @ Pinnacle
Stake:4/10
Analysis: I was considering the bet at around 1.80, but rejected it and now the odds have risen significantly, surpassing the 1.90 mark, so I can't help it. Liverpool will miss most of their first team players and although Anzhi have some absent players themselves, I think the value is on them, so a mid stakes bet is worth a shot.

GL all :)

Europa League and early England picks

Hi guys,
Yesterday was another fine day with my two medium stakes bets winning and only the small stakes one losing. As I expected, Chelsea and Shakhtar scored a lot of goals and the over 3 line was already surpassed before the 60th minute of the game and Juve won convincingly, which brought me a nice profit. The only small disappointment came in Portugal, where it was looking like my bet for a draw is on course of winning with 10 minutes to go, but two late goals from Man United meant it was lost. At the end of the day it was a solid profit though, so I am pretty happy. Today I will post you my Europa League picks, but also two early picks for English leagues this weekend. Here we go:

Pick 40
Event: Chelsea - Liverpool
Pick: Chelsea -0.5 AH
Odds: 2.03 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: This is a pure value bet and I really can't understand the odds. I mean, do I even have to explain it - Chelsea are the best team since the start of the league, they are playing very well and they have no serious injuries. On the other hand, Liverpool is a team who will struggle to get into top 6 and is in general way worse than the Blues. I still can't figure out why the bookies are giving such odds for home win, I believe that if it was another club besides Liverpool with the same players and same performance the odds would've been around 1.60. Full stake here.

Pick 41
Event: Middlesbrough - Sheffield Wednesday
Pick: Middlesbrough -0.5AH
Odds: 1.95 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: I was thinking about this bet yesterday, when I saw the odds for Middlesbrough. In my opinion, the odds for a home win are too high, since the hosts are in a very decent shape - they won five out of their last 6 and managed to draw away in midweek. They have ambitions to fight for promotion and should win most of their home games against weaker sides, if they wish to do so. Sheffield Wednesday on the other hand were in a great shape too, but it ended this week when they were beaten 2:0 at home by Blackpool. They are now sitting 20th in the table and I believe the difference in class and momentum makes the odds for home win tempting enough to try a bet.

Pick 42
Event: Lazio - Panathinaikos
Pick: Lazio to win
Odds: 1.65 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Lazio missed the win in the dying minutes of the game in Greece, but I feel they won't do it today. They are the better team in general and they were cautious in the weekend in their Seria A game, in order to keep fresh for this clash. The home advantage and the difference in class should be enough in this game.

Pick 43:
Event: Academica - Atletico Madrid
Pick: Both teams to score
Odds: 1.82 @ Interwetten
Stake: 4/10
Analysis: I expected Atletico to keep a clean sheet in the first leg, but they didn't manage to do so and I now believe they won't be able to do it in Portugal. Both teams have great attacking players and I feel they should be able to both score. As always, Interwetten are late and other bookies give much lower price on this market, which is another good indication. Not a big stake though, since Atletico are almost through and their motivation is somewhat questionable.

This is it for today, good luck everyone.

Good Tuesday and some more Champions League

Hello guys,
Yesterday was a pretty good day for me especially in the Champions League. All of my three bets were won with PSG trashing Dinamo Zagreb, a draw in Kiev and Anderlecht managing to keep a clean sheet against Zenit. That brought a solid profit and compensated the tiny loss from my English Championship bets, so overall another great day. Today I have prepared few more bets on the Champions league and I hope they will be winners too, here we go:

Pick 37
Event: Chelsea - Shakhtar Donetsk
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.33 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: I though long and hard about this game, since it is a very crucial one. Chelsea need to win it for sure, since if they don't there is a very strong possibility to get dumped from the Champions League in the group stage. The only possible absentees are Ashley Cole and Lampard, while Mata and Torres should be back after missing Saturday's clash against Swansea. That makes me think the hosts will be a force upfront and needing a win badly, should be able to score some goals. On the other hand, the visitors are very dangerous as well and have scored at least a goal in all of their games in nearly an year. I think Chelsea will win it at the end, but I smell a lot of goals in this one and the odds for over 3 are looking great to me.

Mata is back after a minor injury

Pick 38
Event: Juventus - Nordsjaelland
Pick: Juventus - 2AH
Odds: 1.79 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: The Italians are in a tough position in the group - they have only three points and they other two matches are with Chelsea at home and Shakhtar away. Considering the difference in class of both teams, which was very clear in the first game despite the draw, I think Juve will be pushing hard from the first minute and a trashing is quite possible here. The line offers some insurance in case they win with two goals, so I am willing to take it.

Pick 39
Event: Braga - Manchester United
Pick: Draw
Odds: 3.50 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 2/10
Analysis: United are on top of the group with 9 points and it looks they are gonna win it comfortably. Braga are pretty much in contention for the second place, so they will be fully motivated for this game. The main reason I am taking the draw is simple - if around the 60th minute mark the game is equal, both teams will try not to lose it, cause a point is enough for them. Small stakes though.

This is it for today, good luck everyone :)

Another win and Champions league picks

Hi guys,
The good streak continued yesterday when West Brom managed to win against the Saints at home, so that brought me a decent profit. With this pick I managed to achieve 10/12 picks won in the Premier League from the past 10 days and I am pretty satisfied with the result. What really surprised me was the fact the odds for West Brom reached 1.93 at some point which was insane, given the performance of the two teams since the start of the season, sometimes I really don't understand the bookies. However, the match went as expected with Southampton inefficient upfront and terrible at the back. So, today I am waiting for two picks in the Championship and in the mean time I think I found some good bets for the Champions league. Here we go:

Pick 34
Event: Anderlecht - Zenit
Pick: Both teams to score - no
Odds: 2.15 @ BetVictor
Stake: 3/10
Analysis: I can't understand the odds here, given the fact the hosts still haven't scored a goal in this competition, in fact they've only managed 12 shots on goal for now. On the other hand, Zenit didn't look too dangerous in the fixture in Saint Petersburg either and now they are missing Hulk for this match. This makes me think there is a strong possibility that at least one of the teams doesn't manage to score a goal and I will take the generous odds BetVictor is giving.

Hulk is out for tonight's game.

Pick 35
Event: Dinamo Kiev - Porto
Pick: Draw
Odds: 3.43 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 3/10
Analysis: Porto are doing great since the start of the competition and have the maximum 9 point from their first three games. This makes them almost certain to go through and despite that I doubt they will underestimate this game. They want to win the group in order to have a softer opponent in the knockout stages, but it is never easy to play in Ukraine, especially at this time of the year. This makes me think the visitors won't be unhappy with a draw. The odds seem nice and that is why I will give it a shot with small stakes.

Pick 36
Event: PSG - Dinamo Zagreb
Pick: PSG -2AH
Odds: 1.86 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: The main reasons for the this pick are two - the obvious difference in class of both teams and most importantly the motivation of the hosts. After losing at home at the weekend they will want to bounce back as soon as possible and wash out the bad memories of their fans. Also, Ibrahimovic was sent off and I think his frustration may result in a great game against the Croatian side. If you add the fact the visitors are not likely to score goals here, I believe a trashing is quite possible and the -2AH line is somewhat safe option, so I am going for it.

After showing his bad side, I think Zlatan will show his good one tonight.

This is it for today, I might put some more bets on the games tomorrow, good luck everyone :)

Another great weekend and some Championship picks

Hi guys,

Sunday was a great day in terms of betting and in general, the weekend was once again superb. I won both of my bets in the Premier League yesterday with QPR and Reading finishing under 2.5 goals and Newcastle holding for a 1:1 draw at Anfield. In addition to that my bet on F1 was an easy win as Alonso managed a very solid Abu Dhabi GP and finished second. This three wins mean the ROI is almost 130%, which I really think is great.
Today I am waiting for a West Brom win in the last game of the Premier League and in the meantime I have two more picks for the English Championship:

Pick 32
Event: Sheffield Wednesday - Blackpool
Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 1.81 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: The two sides are in a different shape recently - the hosts have two wins in a row, while the visitor are five games without a win. However, the common thing about both teams is that they have terrible defenses. Blackpool' s average goals conceded in their last four away games is 2.50 and Sheffield Wednesday are not keeping any clean sheets either, so the overs seem the best bet here.

Ollie has some reasons to worry.

Pick 33
Event: Nottingham Forrest - Middlesbrough
Pick: Middlesbrough +0.25 AH
Odds: 2.23 @ 188bet
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: This bet is based purely on momentum. Middlesbrough are flying high right now are in a streak of 6 games unbeaten, including 5 wins. On the other hand the hosts have just one win in their last five games at home and this is why I think the value is on the visitors in this match.

This is it, I think I will publish some Champions league picks too, good luck all :)

Saturday recap, final EPL picks and F1 pick

Hi guys,

I had two bets for Saturday and at the end of the day the result was one won and one lost with a small profit. As I expected Fulham and Everton both scored, but my bet for over 3 goals was in danger after the Toffees somehow managed to miss a dozen of clear cut chances throughout the game, but thankfully Fulham were more clinical. Later on the same day West Ham and Man City didn't manage to score any goals, so the bet there was lost. Today I already have a bet on Newcastle (+1 AH), but here are my two final picks for the Premier League and a bonus pick for F1:

Pick 29
Event: QPR - Reading
Pick: Under 2.5 goals
Stake: 8/10
Odds: 2.16 @ 188bet
Analysis: The game is very important for both teams as they lie in the bottom three of the table without a win. QPR will most likely miss the likes of Mbia, Zamora and skipper Park due to various reasons and this definitely will reflect their attacking performance. On the other hand, Reading are not scoring a lot away from home and QPR have scored just 7 times since the start of the campaign. Naturally, the defense of the teams are my main concern, but I think the odds for under 2.5 are too good to miss.

Zamora will likely miss the game, which is a big blow for QPR.

Pick 30
Event: West Brom - Southampton
Pick: West Brom to win
Odds: 1.75 @ Ladbrokes
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: West Brom started the season with the best defensive home record and managed to keep few clean sheets in the first couple of games. Since then they conceded twice in both of their last two games, but still managed to win one of them. As for the Saints they continue to struggle and seem unable to get results, despite taking part in some of the most entertaining games this season. I think their terrible defense will let them down once again here, since West Brom are expected to have all of their best players available (including skipper Brunt and Shane Long). On the other end of the pitch the solid defense of the home team should be able to do the job too.

Pick 31
Event: F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Pick: Alonso to finish on the podium
Odds: 1.83 @ Will Hill
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: With Vettel starting from last position, Alonso will be fully motivated to take full advantage and retake the momentum in the Championship title and I think a podium here will do the job. The odds for this happening are quite good, so let's go for it.

Vettel will start last and this is a great chance for Alonso.

Premier League tips for 3-4th November

Hi guys,

After writing the first pick for the EPL weekend yesterday it is now time for a larger portion of bets :) Last weekend was phenomenal as I managed to hit 6/7 wins for a great profit and I really hope this one is good too. Here are my first few selections (the others will be posted tomorrow or on Sunday):

Pick 27
Event: Fulhan - Everton
Pick: Over 3 goals
Odds: 2.43 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: This one has both to score and overs written all over it - with Berbatov Fulham are scoring for fun, especially at home and most of their games since the start of the season are with both teams scoring. Same applies to Everton who managed to score in every single game from the start of the campaign except for the visit of West Brom, who were playing very well in defense in the first few games. With Pienaar back it looks like both teams have their best attacking players available and this should be a goal thriller. I was thinking about getting over 3.5, but this is the safer option and the odds are still great.

Pienaar is back to restore his partnership with Baynes.

Pick 28
Event: West Ham - Man City
Pick: Both teams to score
Odds: 1.67 @ Bet365
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: Man City continue to concede goals, especially away from home and the champions still can't keep a clean sheet in their away games. I don't see them doing so against a very solid West Ham side, which is playing very well at Upton Park. Carrol was a great fit and is capable of producing chances for the midfield, which leads to a lot of goals, especially from the likes of Nolan. As for City's ability to score, I don't think anybody doubts that, so the odds for both to score seem pretty generous to me and I am going for it with full stake.

This is it for today, you can expect more from me in the following days, best of luck :)

Bad day in Capital One Cup and an early weekend pick

Hi guys,
The last two days showed me once again why the League Cup, currently called Capital One Cup just can't be trusted. Both Arsenal and Chelsea managed to create plenty of chances, but at the end of the day terrible defending made them chasing results to the very end of their matches. They managed to win at the end, but it was after extra time and that didn't do any good to my bets. Elsewhere Tottenham and Liverpool were surprised by Norwich and Swansea, which made the days even worse. On the good side of things, I was cautious and my stakes were low, so there is no big harm done :) Enough with the Capital One Cup, I have an early bet for the week, and I am putting it so early, cause the odds seem unreal and I don't think they will last:

Pick 26
Event: Liverpool - Newcastle
Pick: Newcastle +1AH
Odds: 1.98 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: Well, I don't have much to say about this game, besides that this is great value. I mean, seriously, almost 2.00 for Newcastle to draw or win, returning the bet if they lose with only one goal? This can't be serious, I think the odds will drop till the game, so go for it while it is there.
