Champions league picks and final Premier league prediction

Hi guys,
It wasn't the best weekend, cause Man City didn't do enough to win against Everton despite some late chances, but Southampton lost with just a single goal against Liverpool, so this meant a half win there returned some cash. As you have probably have seen in my last post, I was a little bit ahead from live betting too, so basically it was a break even weekend. It is now time to take a look at the last game in the Premier League and also the last group matches in the Champions League:

Pick 74
Event: Newcastle - Wigan Athletic
Pick: Draw
Odds: 3.53 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 3/10
Analysis:  Newcastle are having a number of problems lately, mostly because of the huge amount of injuries in a very bad time of the season. They have lost four games in a row and they are now just 2 points above the relegation zone, so they desperately need points. However, they still will miss a number of players and Wigan are in a rather decent shape recently. This makes me think the draw here is very possible options. The hosts will really want to win this game and I expect them to be fully motivated, but with some key defenders and midfielders out, Wigan should be able to take a point here. Small stakes, since draws are very risky as always.

Pick 75
Event: Olympiacos - Arsenal
Pick: Olympiacos +0.25AH
Odds: 1.87 @ Ladbrokes
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: I don't like betting against my favorite team, but I just can't miss this one. Arsenal is in a terrible shape lately and most importantly, many of the players look jaded. In his post match interview at the weekend Wenger hinted he will probably rest some of his boys. This would be the logical choice considering the fact Arsenal is already qualified and their finishing position wouldn't make such a big difference for the knockouts when you look at the other groups.

This is it for now, but I believe there are some other possible bets in the CL and I will write another post about it tomorrow, good luck everyone :)

English Premier League picks

Hi guys,
Unfortunately, my hot streak of wins ended last night in Europa League, when two of my bets were lost and just one won. My main bet was on Academica and Pilzen to score over 2.5 goals, but both teams managed to score just two both from penalties, while the huge surprise was the goalless draw between Hannover and Twente. That was pretty sick especially considering the fact there were like 4 goals on average in all games of the Germans so far, but this is football. The only good news was the under at the Newcastle - Maritimo game which brought some money back, but overall last night sucked.
No time for regrets though as the weekend is coming and there are some decent bets for the Premier League. I already have few suggestions, here they are:

Pick 65
Event: Everton - Norwich
Pick: Norwich +1 AH
Odds: 2.11 @ 188bet
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: This line would've won or pushed in any of the last 6 Everton games, as the team drew four of them, won one with one goal difference and then lost against Reading. This indicates that the great shape of the hosts from the start of the season is starting to fade. Norwich on the other hand is unbeaten in five games in a row, including wins against Manchester United and Arsenal. This wouldn't have been enough for me to bet in normal circumstances, but when you look at the team news you will see Everton will miss Fellainy, Neville and Mirallas and all three are very important for the hosts. As crazy as it may sound I believe Norwich could actually win this game, but I will go for the safe option and go for the Asian Handicap.

Everton's best player Fellainy is out of this match.

Pick 66
Event: Wigan - Reading
Pick: Reading +0.5 AH
Odds: 2.06 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 7/10
Analysis: A derby game between two teams who are just above the relegation zone. Both started the season poorly, but are showing some signs of improvements lately. Reading are the kings of draws as they managed four in six of their last games, but last week they finally managed to win against the strong Everton team. Wigan on the other hand are very inconsistent and are capable of big surprises both in a negative and positive sense. I would say the hosts are a slight favorite to win this match, but the value is on Reading to take something here.

This is it for now, I believe I could place another bet on the Saturday's matches and there surely will be something for Sunday and the F1 finale, so stay tuned. Good luck everyone :)

More Premier league football picks for Saturday

Hi guys,

Yesterday I had one bet only, but it was a successful one - Middlesbrough maintained their good run by beating Sheffield Wednesday at home. As you probably know, if you are a regular reader of this blog, I already have two bets for today's Premier League games: under 3 goals for Arsenal - Fulham and Everton -1.5 AH goals against Sunderland at home. I was considering few more bets yesterday, but I left my final decision for today. Here we go:

Pick 47
Event: Stoke City - QPR
Pick: Stoke -0.5AH
Odds: 2.05 @ 188bet
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: Both team are not performing very well since the start of the season, but Stoke look much more solid at least in defense. Their story is similar every year - they have some tough periods, but manage to take a good number of points at home against weaker teams. They still have just one win since the start of the league and I believe this is a good opportunity to take some fresh air here against QPR, who have just 4 points up to this point.

Pullis will want a home win against a weak QPR side today.

Pick 48
Event: Wigan - West Brom
Pick: West Brom +0AH
Odds:  2.55 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 4/10
Analysis: West Brom is performing very well since the start of the season, but they still haven't got a win away from home. However, all of their opponents in those game were better teams than Wigan, probably except Aston Villa which are about the same class. Wigan on the other hand have just one win at home and it came against a weak visitors like West Ham. This makes me think the visitors could achieve their first success away from home considering their decent defense and strong attack. I am taking the DNB option though, since the odds are still very good and this offers some insurance.

This is it from me, you could probably expect some more tips tomorrow, good luck everyone :)

Weekend recap and Capital One Cup

Hello guys,

After the end of the weekend it is time for a recap. Well, it might seem somewhat arrogant, but with six out of seven bets on EPL won and a very solid profit in the bank, I can say it was a cracking weekend! I sincerely hope someone followed, cause after the good Saturday with three out of four bets won, the Sunday was even better with all three bets coming my way. As I expected it was a cracking Merseyside derby and my bet on both teams to score was won in the middle of the first half. The same happened in the game between Southampton and Spurs with Bale scoring in the 15th minute and winning my unorthodox bet, based on the fact he had a kid :) The only concern was Newcastle, but a lucky goal from Cisse deep in the game meant all bets for the day won :) I wish all weekends were like that and now the stats are getting better and better. After the first 17 bets on this blog the ROI reached the fantastic 133.25%! Of course I do not expect more than 115% in the long term, but who knows :) Enough with the past though, it is time to look in the future and this week we have Capital One Cup:

Pick 18
Event: Leeds - Southampton
Pick: Leeds to win
Odds: 2.62 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 5/10
Analysis: Both teams are not in their best shape recently, but my bet here is based purely on different approach to this cup between lower league teams and Premiership clubs. Leeds will be willing the win more and they managed to beat at home a very good team like Everton in the last round. Southampton, on the other hand, will be thinking mostly about the Premier League, where they are struggling a lot and I am sure the manager Nigel Adkins won't be too bothered about the Capital One Cup. Medium stakes since I don't really like this competition.

I think Adkins will be thinking more about the Premier League.

Pick 19
Event: Wigan - Bradford
Pick: Wigan -1EH
Odds: 1.91 @ 888sport
Stake: 6/10
Analysis: This pick is based purely on the huge difference in class between League 2 and the Premier League and the fact Wigan are better in attack than in defense. I don't think the visitors will be able to put them under pressure, and I expect Wigan to create plenty of chances, so a medium stake here too.

Tomorrow I will post some more picks, good luck everyone :)

Few more EPL bets

Hi guys,
I've done my Saturday routine, which includes breakfast and exploring odds for the EPL matchday and here are the picks I like:

Pick 14
Event: Reading - Fulham
Pick: Both teams to score
Odds: 1.62 @ Bet365 (offered by various bookies)
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: Well, in this game both this are capable than scoring, but also their defenses are not very solid. All of Reading's home games this season were GG and most of Fulham's away games too. Both teams have most of their attacking players fit, so I can easily see them both scoring.

Pick 15
Event: Wigan - West Ham
Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 1.88 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 10/10
Analysis: Pretty much the same as the other game - Wigan tend to score some goals, but they also concede often. West Ham are normally capable of keeping a clean sheet, but that applies to their home games, away is a different story. I expect a lot of goals in this game and if you are more adventurous you can also try over 3.5.

Good luck and have a profitable day :)
